Okay, so I’m no Super Hero!
What I am, is a Mother, Wife, Daughter, Friend, Small Business Owner, Hockey Player, Dragon Boat Paddler, Golf Mum (ex Hockey Mum), Immigrant, Scientist, Saxophone Player, Wine Lover, Gadget Geek, Social Media Junkie, Digital Marketer and Web Developer!
Some days it feels like I need super powers to juggle all that!
I graduated with a BSc in Applied Chemistry from Portsmouth University (Polytechnic as it was back in the day!) and I worked in the science field for many years in the Pharmaceutical, Water and Analytical Instrumentation industries.
In 1992 I built my first web site! I’ve been developing websites and digital marketing solutions for my clients ever since.
I moved with my company, husband, two kids and a Newfoundland dog from England to Canada in 2004. And live on the shores of Lake Scugog in Port Perry, Ontario.
I have two sons who are sports crazy, particularly golf, both attended school in the USA on golf scholarships. One has just turned professional and the other has one year left at school. I claim no ownership of their golf skills, only their sunny disposition and sense of humour!
I love what I do! And I love working with small businesses to help them grow.
Why start a video series and podcast?
Good question!
I hate the sound of my own voice (although apparently it’s not bad as I once got asked to record the corporate answer phone message, as I had the ‘right’ voice for it).
I also hate having my picture taken – so yes! Let’s start a video series too!
Clearly I’ve lost the plot!
But I’m doing it anyways – what’s life without a little challenge?
So I hope you’ll join me as I embark on this excruciatingly awkward adventure.
